Favorite Voting
Best for a People's Choice, festivals, and big crowds voting from a QR code. Each voter taps the one dish they liked best in each category, and the most votes wins. Nothing to learn and nothing to add up.
Format: One pick per person, or a ranked top 3 (1st worth 3 points, 2nd 2, 3rd 1)
Categories: Optional - single or multiple
Best for: Crowds of any size, People's Choice
Points Voting
Best for casual events like office potlucks, neighborhood block parties, and family gatherings. Each judge gets a fixed pool of points to distribute across the dishes. It's fast, familiar, and easy to explain to a crowd.
Format: Points budget distributed across dishes
Categories: Optional - single or multiple
Best for: 5-30 judges, quick turnaround
Rubric Scoring
Best for serious competitions, fundraisers, and events where detailed feedback matters. Judges score each dish across multiple criteria - taste, presentation, creativity, or whatever dimensions you define - on a 10-star scale. Contestants get richer feedback, and winners are determined by a more nuanced evaluation.
